Job Summary

We're looking for a Commercial Lines Insurance Account Manager with 3-5 years of experience to join our team. The ideal candidate will be responsible for managing client accounts, providing exceptional service, and maintaining positive relationships with clients. This remote role involves working closely with producers, carriers, and other team members to handle new and existing accounts efficiently, which may require occasional in-person meetings. A strong background in commercial insurance and policy management is essential for success in this position.

Responsibilities

New Account Submission/Onboarding: You will work closely with producers and carriers to provide new insurance submissions and proposals, bind policies and onboard new accounts efficiently and accurately. You will obtain, organize and distribute necessary policy documentation and effectively communicate company information to create a seamless transition for new clients.


Account Management: You will foster and enhance ongoing relationships with existing clients and serve as initial point of contact for commercial lines service including issuing policy changes, filing claims, reviewing audits, and answering coverage questions. You will also prepare existing client accounts for renewal and remarketing as necessary including completing Acord and carrier-specific applications, obtaining additional information requested by carriers, and compiling renewal and remarketing comparisons using Excel spreadsheets.


Product/Carrier Knowledge: You will work to obtain knowledge of available and applicable insurance products and carrier appetites for new and existing commercial lines business.


Maintain Electronic Client Records: You will input and maintain client information and pertinent documents into agency management system (Partner Platform) to minimize E&O risk and provide data to leadership team.


Collaboration: You will engage in daily collaboration with team members to assist with answering phones, certificates of insurance, claims, and policy endorsements as needed. You'll be expected to attend virtual and in-person meetings, accomplish designated sales and company goals, and use your experience to contribute to improving internal and external customer service.

Qualifications
  • 3-5 years’ experience as commercial lines agent or CSR
  • Licensed in Property & Casualty Insurance and willingness to maintain ongoing licensing through continuing education and training
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills including the ability to educate clients on company-offered products and services, explain complex issues effectively, and ability to receive and interpret complex information and respond appropriately
  • Analytical skills including the ability to assess current policies and coverages and make recommendations
  • Detail-oriented and organized with the ability to manage multiple clients, tasks and requests with professionalism and emotional intelligence
  • Desire to work effectively in a collaborative yet remote work setting using the Entrepreneurial Organization System (EOS™). Some in-person meetings will be required
  • Ability to stay organized and self-motivated
  • Proficient with Microsoft Office – Outlook, Word, Excel, Teams
  • Experience using Partner Platform desired
