Professional Engineer (Civil / Structural)Criterium-Kessler Engineers

Criterium-Kessler Engineers is looking to hire a Professional Engineer to work on a wide variety of building-related inspection projects, ranging from high-rise condominiums and commercial properties to structural inspections. The role will involve on-site engineering assessments, project management, and clear communications of findings. Working closely with VP of Engineering and staff in training and production role.

• Conduct on-site engineering inspections, including structural, building condition, forensic assessments, and new construction quality assurance.
• Develop engineering calculations and draft construction documents to support the repair of inspected components.
• Manage and coordinate projects from initiation to completion, ensuring adherence to deliverables and consulting budgets.
• Provide clear and concise written reports and conduct meetings to discuss report results.
• Lead, manage, direct, and review the work of other engineering staff.
• Travel to job sites around the Las Vegas area, throughout Nevada, and occasionally to the Phoenix office.

Required

• A Bachelor’s Degree in Civil, Structural Engineering
• 3 + years of experience as a Professional Engineer; pay will be commensurate with experience
• Experience with building codes, including IBC and local codes
• Excellent written and verbal communication
• Humble team player who can lead by example and proactively collaborate with the team and customers
• Proven self-starter with the ability to work independently
• Strong attention to detail and ability to multi-task in a fast-paced, dynamic environment
• OSHA 10 certification or equivalent
• Legally authorized to work in the United States with a valid Arizona or Nevada Driver’s license
• Meet the physical requirements of the job, including extensive walking, climbing ladders, heights, and occasionally small spaces

Preferred

• Licensed Arizona / Nevada Professional Engineer (PE) in good standing (prefer civil and/or structural), with the ability/desire to obtain a Nevada or Arizona license 
• Contacts throughout Phoenix and Las Vegas in the building, construction, and real estate industries
• Current and strong Microsoft Office skills
• Working knowledge of computers, tablets, virtual meeting software, etc.
