  • Prepare daily End of Day email to manager/supervisor
  • Document all maintenance completed for machines and shop equipment
  • Keep accurate records of approved and defective units and final products
  • Improve analyzing results; monitoring variances; identifying trends; recommending actions to department management
  • Maintain activity logs
  • Various other duties as assigned


  • Read and respond to e-mail and/or other correspondence
  • Develop, improve, and streamline job functions and procedures in department manual
  • Document, and maintain written job functions and procedures in department manual
  • Support day to day dept. operations & staff, applying dept. policies & procedures, & making recommendations
  • Gain exposure to some of the complex tasks within the job function
  • Communicate machine shop issues/concerns as they arise with supervisor regularly
  • Set up and operate CNC Mills for continuous production cycle, as required
  • Operate CNC Cold Saw, as required
  • Ensure Kit Carts are adequately stocked & delivered to assembly department as needed
  • Ensure part quantities are correct and communicate any discrepancies with superior(s)
  • Perform regular machine maintenance, as required
  • Perform regular maintenance on all shop equipment
  • Ability to accurately change tools, part offsets, tool length offsets, load programs, prove program
  • Operate manual cold saw, when required
  • Operate manual chop saw (high RPM), when required
  • Operate tumbler, when required
  • Perform parts inspection: using callipers, micrometer, height gauge, depth gauge, bore gauge, etc. to verify parts are within specifications
  • Conduct periodic quality checks
  • Test operations and functionality of machines periodically
  • Provide general support for the machine shop
  • Support function for Material Handlers/Assemblers, as required
  • Support function for Machine Shop Supervisor
  • Follow machine shop department procedures
  • Follow machine shop department safety guidelines
  • Maintain cleanliness of the machine shop
  • Attend all departmental meetings, as required
  • Various duties as assigned


  • High School diploma or equivalent is required, undergraduate education a plus
  • Machine shop operations knowledge and experience, preferred. If none, we will train.
  • Machine shop safety knowledge and experience, preferred. If none, we will train.
  • Intermediate knowledge operating forklift (electrical) trucks, preferred
  • Intermediate knowledge of general use electronics & tools
  • Intermediate knowledge of inventory/picking
  • Intermediate experience working with office equipment and office computer applications
  • Ability to perform basic mathematical calculations
  • Ability to perform under pressure
  • Desire to help others and work within a team
  • Familiarity exercising professional discretion
  • Experience multi-tasking and prioritizing tasks
  • Strong interpersonal skills
  • Basic computer and typing skills (min. 15 wpm)

  • Ability to bend, stoop, push, pull, reach, and lift within applicable OSHA guidelines
  • Finger dexterity is needed to access, enter and retrieve data using a computer keyboard or calculator and
  • to operate standard office equipment
  • Ability to lift up to 50lbs, bend, stoop, reach and lift within applicable OSHA guidelines
  • Ability to work in a dynamic, pressured, and ever-changing environment
  • Ability to stand for long periods of time
  • Ability to walk up and down a single flight of stairs several times a day


  • Medical: 100% base plan premium paid by employer for employees, 50% base plan premium towards employee dependents (Eligible after 30-days of hire)
