Job Description

Primary Function:
Writes programs for machines in order to fabricate metal and other materials which are then created into finished products.

Position Responsibilities (including but not limited to):
• Design products and control manufacturing processes
• Analyze job orders, drawings, blueprints and other data and perform all the necessary calculations
• Write programs and/or modify existing programs and store them
• Determine the sequence of shaping operations and choose the cutting tools needed
• Ensure the machines and programs operate correctly and that products meet specifications
• Required to operate machinery from time to time
• Wear all safety equipment (glasses, gloves, ear plugs, back belts, etc.) as required by management and company safety policy
• Travel up to 10% may be required
• All other duties assigned by management

Skills:
• Demonstrated ability to write and design technical computer programs for equipment
• Demonstrated ability in the comprehension of and practical application of workmanship standards
• Ability to read blue prints, display intermediate math skills
• Employs critical thinking, logic and reasoning to troubleshoot and solve problems
• Excellent interpersonal communication skills

Qualifications:
• CAD and CAM training/experience required
• At least two (2) years of manufacturing experience preferred
• Experience in an ERP environment
• CAD/CAM software (MasterCAM) and MS Office Applications (Word, Excel, Access, Power Point, Outlook, etc...) proficiency required
• Must possess 5 year driving record with clear history for the past three years
