Job Description

Primary Function:

The Procurement Manager will be the primary point of contact between suppliers and Kaspar Companies. The Procurement Manager will be responsible for the procurement of products and goods for use by the business by identifying supplier sources, screening them and identifying the most favorable pricing and terms.

Position Responsibilities include (but not limited to):

  • Identify potential suppliers based on project requirements
  • Negotiate contracts, terms and deadlines with vendors and suppliers
  • Monitor and update relevant departments regarding price fluctuations of goods and vendor pricing
  • Manage an efficient flow of goods to ensure optimum production
  • Track and report key functional metrics to reduce expenses and improve effectiveness
  • Collaborate with key persons to ensure clarity of the specifications and expectations of the company
  • Process purchase orders to acquire goods
  • Other duties as assigned


  • Working experience as a Procurement Manager or similar role
  • Knowledge of procurement techniques and practices
  • Thorough understanding of schematics and technical drawings
  • Strong conflict resolution skills
  • Experience in collecting and analyzing data
  • Excellent communication skills
  • Strong leadership capabilities


  • Works well under pressure and is capable of remaining calm and focused despite rapidly changing priorities and competing deadlines
  • Must possess current and valid driving record with clear history for the past three years
  • Must pass drug test and 100% clean background check

Physical Requirements:

  • Extended periods of sitting and/or walking (33% - 75% of time)
  • Stooping, bending, twisting, leaning (10% - 25% of time)
  • Lifting of 25-50 lbs. occasionally (0% - 33% of time)

Work Environment:

  • Typically inside a climate-controlled office and is required to occasionally move from office to manufacturing areas and outdoors to perform duties
  • Occasional exposure to manufacturing environment where the use and wear of proper protective equipment (PPE) such as safety glasses or side shields on glasses and closed toe shoes are mandatory
